Shortly after his hire last year, Vice President Patrick Rooney began an initiative to make Safety Awareness a “priority” at Priority Floors. Patrick believes safety is the most important factor in the successful installation of commercial flooring. Safe workers means less accidents and exposure on the construction site which saves time and money. The first step was to make sure the entire Commercial Division was OSHA30 Certified. The OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry course is a comprehensive online course geared toward safety on construction sites. Training topics include:
- Respiratory protection
- Materials Handling
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Lockout/Tagout
- Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention and Protection
- Major fall, struck-by, caught between, and electrocution hazards
As of December 2018, Priority Floors’ entire Commercial Team is OSHA30 certified!
